Bleu-Azur

Life on the Côte d'Azur is azure blue. People appreciate the colours, the light, the sweetness of relaxation, of the sea and the sun. But there is a play between the obvious and the hidden, the clearly visible shades of blue and other dark shades. Like a filter, the dark feeling sometimes covers the heavenly beauty of the French Riviera. After 16 years of living on the Côte d'Azur, I express my feelings through the particular choice of contrasts and extreme colours, almost monochromatic, both harmonious and disturbing, in any case moving and strong. My artistic research is expressed in the rendering of a partial, cut-out, disfigured view of the usual postcard motifs.
